Participant Requirements
Leadership Circle participants serve as liaisons within their home community for a period of six months (August 1, 2017 – January 30, 2018). The required duties are listed below and are outlined in a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) participants are required to sign before participating in the VAN Leadership Circle.
1. Facilitate (at a local location to be determined) up to five (5) webinars, one time per month. The facilitator is responsible for making sure technology is operating, having a sign-in sheet for attendees, and serving as a facilitator after the webinar to guide discussion and networking (materials provided).
2. Assist in outreach for the webinars. Participants (facilitators) do this by generating a list of potential attendees for the webinars using whatever connections he/she has in the community. They help by inviting others to attend the training and maintaining a list of those individuals, their organizations, and email or phone contact.
3. Participate in a monthly conference call with other Leadership Circle participants to assess the value of the webinars. During these monthly calls, facilitators provide feedback about the effectiveness of webinar content, activities, discussions, and about outreach efforts. This is a way for facilitators to learn and share information, and for Nevada Volunteers staff to provide training, support, and to collect information.
